In August, Chuzhou has been abuzz thanks to an annual flagship event for the plastics sector.
On August 19, the 2026 (5th) Plastics Industry Conference & Brand Gala, initiated by Guangdong Plastics Industry Association and Jufeng Plastics Media and exclusively sponsored by JWELL Machinery, officially opened at Sheraton Chuzhou Ganghui Hotel.
As a high-profile annual IP for China’s plastics industry, this grand gathering has run for four consecutive editions. Hosted this year in Chuzhou, a key plastics-industry hub in the Yangtze River Delta, and co-organized by the Administrative Committee of Chuzhou Economic-Technological Development Zone, the event unites government bodies, enterprises, research institutions and industry associations to jointly explore new development pathways for branding, high-end manufacturing and intelligent transformation within the plastics industry.
On the conference’s opening day, leaders from leading enterprises nationwide, experts, scholars and technical specialists checked in one after another. Group photos taken at the signature wall captured the first memorable moments of the event.
At 14:30 p.m., two parallel professional technical forums got underway, focusing precisely on core industrial tracks:
Sub-forum A: Forum on Innovative Development of Plastic Additive Technologies
Co-hosted by Weipu Technology Group and the Expert Committee of Guangdong Plastics Industry Association, the forum addresses pressing industry pain points, covering:
✅ Polymer flame-retardant and fire-safety technologies
✅ Development trends of plastic masterbatches
✅ Applications of multi-functional plastic additives
✅ Application of β-nucleating agents, wax products and inorganic powders in cable materials
University professors and front-line technical experts shared the stage, combining theoretical insights with practical process-implementation challenges, opening new directions and breaking bottlenecks for the additives industry.
Subforum B: Forum on Engineering-Plastics Processing and Modification Technologies
Co-hosted by the Intelligent Manufacturing Service Center of Guangdong Plastics Industry Association and Guangzhou Huaxinke Intelligent Manufacturing, this forum centers on core upgrading directions for modified processing:
✅ Innovative equipment for plastic modification
✅ Carbon-fiber composite materials and high-performance foaming materials
✅ Intelligent manufacturing of modified plastics, twin-screw extrusion technologies and digital-intelligent transformation
Renowned researchers from South China University of Technology, Donghua University, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, alongside technical directors from listed enterprises, delivered presentations in turn. The free-flow exchanges during the coffee break enabled many participants to connect for potential business partnerships on-site.
With Day-One sessions concluded, more high-impact content lies ahead
Schedule
August 20 Main forum, round-table discussions and brand gala kick off. Brand enterprise exhibitions remain open, delivering cutting-edge industry perspectives.
August 21 Field visits to benchmark enterprises:
• 08:30 Depart from the hotel for JWELL Chuzhou and Anhui JWELL (only 800 meters apart for combined inspection tours)
• 11:20 Proceed to JWELL Quanjiao
• 12:10 Return to the hotel for the JWELLhosted buffet lunch, marking the official close of the event

Exclusive sponsor JWELL Machinery devotes itself to the R&D and manufacturing of high-polymer intelligent equipment. Keeping pace with advances in additives, modified materials and composite materials, it continuously upgrades complete sets of equipment for sheet & board extrusion, blow molding, modified pelletizing and foaming. It is also the parent company of the three enterprises open for the August-21 site tour.
If you are interested in intelligent equipment and modification technologies, do not miss this tour — a rare chance to inspect production lines in person, discuss technologies and explore cooperation opportunities.
The event is still ongoing, bringing forth more new industrial opportunities and insights.
